We are just over one month away from the world's biggest cycling race and unbelievably, we still don't know who won the last one. In fact, the saga has gone on long enough for the defendant to release a book about it!
Gotta Love Tour Time I say... all the rumour and innuendo leading up to le tour is great each year. It certainly fills its moniker of the greatest annual circus event of the year. For instance, with the recent doping admissions by former Telekom (T-Mobile) riders, who is the winner from 1996?
1st Rijs - admitted to EPO 2nd - Ullrich, under investigation for doping 3rd - Virenque, busted in the infamous Festina doping scandal of 98 4th Dufaux - another doper...
So bring on the 2007 edition, under the current doping investigations taking place to create another historic 3 weeks in the annals of cycling's greatest race.
